Semtech Announces First 5V Protection Device with Flow Through Design For Easy Board Layout
The uClamp0524P provides low working and clamping voltage for superior protection of sensitive ICs in high ESD threat environments. Based on Semtech’s SLP2116P8 (2.1x1.6x0.58mm), the uClamp0524P offers an ultra small and low profile package solution to save board space. The device also offers a flow-through layout that does not exist is competing 5V solutions. This flow-through, multi-line configuration allows the uClamp0524P to replace 4 discrete protection components, such as MLVs, in one package without compromising board space and layout optimization in portable applications such as cell phones, notebook computers, PDAs and MP3 players.
